Pachmarhi

• Pachmarhi is a small town and most of its area is under Pachmarhi Cantonment. Cantonment was established in year 1872. 
• Civilian town of Pachmarhi is small and towards the tip of lake. Most of the civilian area is driven by tourism activities like offering hotels to visitors, selling gift-items etc. 
• There is no big shopping-malls or large hotels in Pachmarhi. Most of the hotels of Pachmarhi are small of approximately 15 to 30 rooms offers only vegetarian meals. 
• Shop-keepers mostly offers small gift items like marble items, jute-items, wooden gift items etc.. Main customers for them are tourists and families of Army personals. 
• When heat waves makes life tough in cities, soothing breeze serenely flows across Pachmarhi. During Rainy season Pachmarhi becomes like a newlywed bride. 
• Tourists staying at the cottages have to entertain the clouds as guests and enjoy their company. There is greenery all around, the chirping of birds creates a magic of its own kind. 
• Nature is at its best in Pachmarhi where the beauty of nature never gets fade. Here you can enjoy Para gliding, trekking, and adventurous cycle ride.

• Pachmarhi is the only hill station in Madhya Pradesh. Unlike Kashmir, Shimla, mussourie Pachmarhi is no widely known. 
• Lack of railway connectivity and longer distance from the metro cities, the beauty is still a hidden treasure. It has fame only inside the boundaries of Madhya Pradesh. 
• It came into news when the leading personality of India the former President Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Ram ManoharLohiya, Jai Prakash Narayan started visiting Pachmarhi.
