Bhojpur

Bhojpur, a small yet historically rich town near Bhopal, is famous for the magnificent Bhojeshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple, built by King Bhoja in the 11th century, houses one of the largest Shivlings in India, carved from a single stone.

Apart from its spiritual aura, Bhojpur is a hub for history lovers and architecture enthusiasts. The incomplete yet massive structure of the temple reflects the grandeur of ancient craftsmanship. Visitors can also explore the remains of old dams, carved rock sculptures, and inscriptions that narrate the glorious past of the region.

Surrounded by the serene Betwa River, Bhojpur offers a peaceful and divine atmosphere, making it a perfect blend of spirituality, history, and natural beauty.
