An 11th-century Shiva temple frozen mid-construction
Bhojpur is a small village on the banks of the Betwa River, 28 km from Bhopal, famed for the magnificent Bhojeshwar Temple built by Raja Bhoj (1010–1055 CE).
The temple is unfinished yet the colossal Shiva Linga inside, carved from a single block, draws thousands of pilgrims each Mahashivratri.
