    Locals of the nearby villages and locations plan their weekends here to enjoy the Indira Sagar Dam’s retreating backwaters. 

 

  • This island surprises you with its cruising, Floating Fantasy, trekking, bird watching, and botanical trail adventures. It is also referred as “Goa of Madhya Pradesh”

 

  • A simple stroll through the surrounding region will introduce you with the wildlife that thrives in here. Peacocks, black storks, a small cormorant, and European Ostray are pure delights for all the avid bird observers.

Land activity

Volleyball, tug of war, archery, climbing, kite flying, bull carting, and zip liner are some of the land activities to enjoy at Hanumantiya Tapu.



Air activity

Amongst air activities to be enjoyed at Hanumantiya Tapu, land parasailing, paramotors, and hot air balloon ride are the most enjoyable ones. 


Water activities

Hanumantiya Tapu is well-known for its popular Jal Mahotsav when there are myriads of water activities scheduled. Water parasailing, banana riding, cruising, jet-skiing, motorboat riding, speed boat drive, scuba diving, sea window sliding, and full-face snorkeling mask are some essential water activities at Hanumantiya Tapu. 


Cruising

There’s a freshwater Rewa cruise ride here where you can enjoy your birthday parties and other important events. This cruising activity is scheduled for a duration of 45 minutes by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Boat Club. To enjoy this activity, you need to be there by 4 pm. 



Floating Fantasy ride

Floating fantasy features two houseboats comprising of 3 rooms each. The upper deck of each houseboat displays a dining cum party area. You can avail their pantry service to cater to your food requirements. 

 

Bird watching

With no wonders, Hanumantiya Island is a bird watchers paradise. You can witness some exotic Central Indian bird species here. Peacocks, black storks, a small cormorant, and European Ostray are some frequently observed species here. 

 


Trekking

The Hanumantiya Tapu is blessed with undulating terrains, making it one of the most adorable trekking destinations of Khandwa. On your trekking journey, you could find some avid cyclists displaying all their essential cycling skills here. By Rail

Khandwa Railway Station is the nearest station to reach the HanumantiyaTapu. This railway station is well-connected by trains coming from India’s financial capital city. 


By Road

Road connectivity is reasonably good at HanumantiyaTapu. Khandwa and Indore are its nearby towns featuring good roads for safe transportation to the HanumantiyaTapu. 

 

By Air

Nearest airport for Hanumantiya island is Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport. It is approx. 180 kms from site.
