A small temple and well a few kilometres from Chitrakoot, where Bharat is said to have stored waters from every place of pilgrimage.

Bharat Koop is a small temple with a well, located a few kilometres from Chitrakoot. The belief attached to it is that this is where Bharat stored water gathered from all the places of pilgrimage in India. The site is modest, and visitors come for the association rather than for anything built here.
The well is the site. Local tradition holds that the waters of every tirth in India were collected and stored in it, and pilgrims treat it accordingly.
A small temple stands with the well. It is plain, quickly seen, and usually visited in the same few minutes as the well itself.
This is a short stop a few kilometres out of Chitrakoot and fits easily into a morning that also covers other sites.
October to March is the comfortable season for the drive and the short walk. Mornings are best. There is little shade at the site, so avoid the middle of a summer day.
