Kaleshwar Mahadev Temple is a very ancient temple.
This temple is located at the eastern coast of the confluence of Maheshwari and Narmada river.
Its construction is calculated from 9th-10th century. It is known from a rock inscription that this temple was renovated during Samrat Akbar's rule in 1622 by one of his representative, named DevdasMandloi,
This confluence site is considered as KALAGNI pilgrimage.
