Maheshwar is a town in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh state, in central India. It is located 13 km east of National Highway 3 (Agra-Mumbai highway) and 91 km from Indore, the commercial capital of the state.

The nearest railway station is Marwaha which is 39 km away from the town of Maheshwar. Though, not all trains halt here. The major train station nearest to Maheshwar is Indore which is 80 km away. Maheshwar is easily traversable through road from there on.
