Panpatha Wildlife Sanctuary

  • The Panpatha Wildlife Sanctuary is part of the famous Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve spread across the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. Bandhavgarh literally means “Fort of Brother”. 
  • The Panpatha Wildlife Sanctuary was formed in the year 1983. It consists of an area of 245 sq. km.
  • The Sanctuary accommodates various speices of animals like
    • the Tiger
    • Panthers
    • Jackal
    • Wild dog
    • Chital
    • Sambhar
    • Blue bull
    • Porcupine
    • Chausingha
    • Bear etc.
 
  • Other well-known destinations like the Bandhavgarh National Park, Bandhavgarh Fort, and Khajuraho are situated close to the Sanctuary.
