🔍Spectacular fall in the stream which provides drinking water to Pachmarhi. The bathing pools above the fall are very popular. Bees fall is hardly 2 km. from Jaistambha. This water-stream flows and jumps into the valley to make one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Pachmarhi. Fall makes a sound like thousands of Bees are singing and accordingly called Bees Fall.
🔍Surrounded by verdant forests and hills, Handi Khoh is another popular tourist spot in Pachmarhi. This is a V-shaped ravine, 300 feet deep, created by two massive hills. Local people believe this place was a lake earlier, which had dried up by the wrath of a huge snake, who used to guard this place. Today, this place is famous for trekking, hiking, photography and horse riding.
🔍Easily accessible from Jai Stambh, this 'fairy pool' is an ideal picnic spot for families with small children, since the pool is shallow, deepening only towards the base of the fall. From Jaistambha reach Pandava Caves and from there, drive less than 1 km. One has to do trekking of 2 km. on hilly tracks. Britishers named this place 'Fairy Pool'. It is an ideal picnic spot. A small charming water-fall of 30 ft. height makes the pool.
🔍Rajat Prapat waterfall tears through the rugged hillsides of Satpura and the greenery that covers it from a height of 107 metres in one single, cascading fall. When the sun shines on it, the fall looks like a stream of shining silver and hence it got its name, as rajat' means silver in Hindi. During the full monsoon, the waterfall is a mighty scene to behold.
🔍If you are in pursuit of peace and relaxation, Mahadeo Hills is the right choice for you. With an altitude of 1363 mt, Mahadeo is a spectacular sandstone hill providing stunning views of the surrounding forests and valleys. Moreover, Mahadeo Hills is also known for an age-old Shiva temple and a few natural caves.
🔍Chauragarh temple is a popular pilgrimage centre, which is situated at an altitude of 1326 metre. It basically comprises a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which is located 4 km away at the end of a steep climb of 1300 steps from Mahadev. Devotees have to make a strenuous climb carrying a trishul as an offering to Lord Shiva. This ritual of carrying three to four quintal heavy trishul to the shrine is prominent during Shivaratri.
🔍Of all the tourist attractions, Jata Sankar cave is one of greatest places to visit in Pachmarhi. Spiritual sources reveal that Lord Shiva concealed himself from the fury of Bhashmasur here. This is a beautiful limestone cave comprising stalactites and stalagmites that look like the matted hair of Lord Shiva, hence named as Jata Sankar cave.
🔍One of the most beautiful cascades in Pachmarhi, the Duchess Falls crash over a hundred meters creating a majestic roar. The beautiful waterfalls bifurcate into three different cascades and a tourist has to travel for 4km to reach the base of the first cataract.
🔍Pandava Caves is one of the best places to visit in Pachmarhi. With the backdrop of spectacular Satpura ranges, Pandava cave is a group of 5 rock-cut Buddhist temples. Mythological sources reveal that these temples were offered to 5 Pandavas for shelter during their exile period, hence the name. Built in the 9th century, these temples are adorned with beautiful sculptures and carvings.
